Research activities are an integral part of the EU4AFRI project. They are complementary to all activities during the course of the project, especially teaching modules and open seminars.
Research activities are devoted to the current issues related to the EU’s development assistance for African states, its capacity (institutional, international and financial) to provide this assistance effectively and to the adaptation processes (reforms) aimed at increasing the effectiveness of EU’s activities in Africa.
Research comprises in particular:
- the desired directions of the changes in the EU’s development assistance for African states, in the context of the key contemporary Africa's challenges and changing paradigm of the EU – Africa relations (especially the role of the EU-Africa Joint Strategy)
- the desired reforms of the international organisations’ cooperation, with emphasis on revealing the role of the EU in increasing the effectiveness of development assistance and the EU’s capacity to act as a platform for tackling Africa's challenges in the future;
- the Polish contribution (and other selected EU-10 member states) to the process of improving the mechanisms of development assistance for Africa.
