The EU4AFRI project team at the International Conference on European Integration 2022 (ICEI 2022)
On May 18-20, 2022, the international conference ICEI 2022 was organized by the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University in Ostrava (Czech Republic). The conference was devoted to the most important current challenges in the EU, including political aspects of European integration, instruments for increasing the resilience of the EU economy, and climate challenges. The EU4AFRI project team, composed of: PhD Magdalena Proczek, Prof. SGH and PhD Ewa Osuch-Rak, during one of the panels, presented the results of the study entitled "Development Cooperation between the European Union and Africa - Dependence or Partnership?"

Final conference of the EU4AFRI project: "The European Union Multidimensional Strategy for Tackling Africa's Challenges"
On May 11, 2022, the international conference ending the EU4AFRI project was held, organized by the Department of the EU. Jean Monnet, Collegium of Economics and Social Sciences of the Warsaw School of Economics. During the conference held in the hybrid formula, the project team summed up three years of didactic, scientific and popularizing activity regarding the broadly understood relations between the European Union and Africa. The conference was devoted to the most important challenges of African countries, their relations with the European Union, and the progressive economic and social transformation of the African continent. The conference was actively attended by speakers from Polish and foreign research centers - incl. Dr. Samuel Ojo Oloruntoba from Carleton University, or Prof. Jean-Marc Trouille from the University of Bradford, as well as Dr. Monika Krukowska from the Warsaw School of Economics and Dr. hab. Kamil Zajączkowski from the Center for Europe, University of Warsaw.

International conference: EU-Sub-Saharan Africa challenges and opportunities: Engine for Growth and Job Creation?
The EU4AFRI project team took part in the final conference of the Jean Monnet Module project on the European Union and the Contemporary Sub-Saharan Africa - an Interdisciplinary Approach - Smart Specialization-EUAfrica / AFROEU
On June 25, 2021, an international conference ending the AFROEU project (coordinator: Dr. Anna Masłoń-Oracz) was held, organized by the Warsaw School of Economics. The conference was devoted to various challenges faced by countries on the African continent and the relations between Africa and the European Union. The researchers focused on the determinants of the development of the African continent, especially innovative development, increasing the role of women and education. During the conference, Dr. Ewa Osuch-Rak presented the application of the Design Thinking methodology in intelligent specialization.

The EU4AFRI project is a partner of the international conference "New economic, financial and social challenges for building sustainable development in the EU"
On June 15, 2021, in the on-line formula, an international conference entitled "New economic, financial and social challenges for building sustainable development in the EU" was held. The conference was organized by Agnieszka Kłos, PhD, the Holder of Jean Monnet Module EUSEC which is devoted to multidimensional financial security of the European Union. The first international conference of the EUSEC project was devoted to the most important contemporary economic, financial and social challenges in the context of sustainable development of the EU.

The EU4AFRI project team at the International Conference on European Integration 2020 (ICEI 2020)
On December 3–4, 2020, the international conference ICEI 2020 was held, organized by the Faculty of Economics of the Technical University in Ostrava (Czech Republic). Conference: "The European Union at the crossroad - Looking back, moving forward: A new strategic agenda 2019–2024" was devoted to the contemporary challenges of European integration. The EU4AFRI project team: dr hab. Magdalena Proczek, Prof. SGH and MSc. Ewa Osuch-Rak, during the panel "Internal Market - Economic Integration", presented the results of a study devoted to the issue of the effectiveness of EU development aid for African countries.
